Tescus = Texas

The I's & J's, L's & S's, along with the C's & E's are nearly impossible to tell  apart so they could be transcribed wrong.  If you are not used to the old way of writing, a p is usually what they used in place of ss (example: Mipouri = Missouri and Mipip = Mississ)
