(Note: this book has no date, but I am guessing that it is 1970 or 71.)

A Brief History
The Macedonia Baptist Church was organized on October 18, 1899, by three Baptist ministers. The church began with 37 charter members and called as their pastor Rev. S. M. Russell. During the next few months the church began to grow until it soon had an enrollment of over 100 members.

It is interesting to note that the church adopted a statement of faith based upon the fundamental doctrines of the Bible and at the same time accepted for use the standard Baptist Church Covenant which is still used today.

During the past 71 years the church has had a good many pastors. Since all records from 1919 to 1944 have been lost it is not known for sure how many men have pastored the church. However, the man who remained longer than any other as pastor was Bro. C. L. Porter. Under his ministry God richly blessed Macedonia Baptist Church.

Since February 1, 1968, Rev. Ray Tenpenny has been the pastor. Since that time a new auditorium has been completed, as well as a new educational building in 1969. During the past three years the Sunday School and church attendance has doubled and God is continuing to bless the work. There are plans in the making to build needed Sunday School space. Truly God's hand has been upon this church.
