Box 181 Moscow, Ks. 67952
The information I have is from the 1880 census and a death notice in the newspaper. I am trying to find information about Seth A. Mann and Mary E. Mann. I have a death notice on Mary E. Mann. I do not know her maiden name. I do know that she was born in Prussia and came to US as a small child. She died in Sherman, Harrison Co., Tx. in 1922. In that article her husband was named H.A. Mann. In the 1880 census his name is Seth A. Mann. I believe that he is the same man because in the children listed there is a Guido Mann. Guido Mann is my great-grandfather. He was born in Marshall, Tx. on July 13, 1871 and died in Canon City, Co. April 29, 1930. I can not find anything about my family that is consistent before Guido Mann because my grandfather would not tell me anything about his family. Could you please try to find anything that would apply. We feel that there is something missing because of the H.A. Mann and Seth A. Mann. Thank you for any time you spend.

I am looking for information about Jim PETTY who came to Harrison County in circa 1830 from Tennessee as a young man. He married a STARR in around the time he arrived in Harleton and had a daughter named Mary Jane(?). His first wife died in sometime in the 1830's, but the story goes that she requested that her younger sister marry Jim after her death. That sister did marry him in circa 1840 and they had 2 daughters, called Liz (who married Will ONNMAN) and Sis (who maried Jim STARR and moved to Van Zandt County). Later in the 1840's that siste died after requesting that Jim marry yet another STARR sister, Martha. They had 7 children, one of whom (Sam PETTY) was my grandfather who was born in 1870 in Harleton. I would also like information on Charley SNYDER who was in the lumber business at Pineridge sawmill and who married a woman named Ethyl GILLIS around 1870.
