The information I have is from the 1880 census and a death notice
in the newspaper. I am trying to find information about Seth A.
Mann and Mary E. Mann. I have a death notice on Mary E. Mann. I
do not know her maiden name. I do know that she was born in Prussia
and came to US as a small child. She died in Sherman, Harrison Co.,
Tx. in 1922. In that article her husband was named H.A. Mann. In
the 1880 census his name is Seth A. Mann. I believe that he is the
same man because in the children listed there is a Guido Mann. Guido
Mann is my great-grandfather. He was born in Marshall, Tx. on July
13, 1871 and died in Canon City, Co. April 29, 1930. I can not find
anything about my family that is consistent before Guido Mann because
my grandfather would not tell me anything about his family. Could
you please try to find anything that would apply. We feel that there
is something missing because of the H.A. Mann and Seth A. Mann.
Thank you for any time you spend.

Co, Al. He was married and had three baby girls. In the late 1919
he left going to Texas to get a job and send for his family later.
His family waited and only heard from him one time. He was in Marshall
Texas. A family friend went to see him to find out why he never
sent for his family. When he got there he learned that he had changed
his name to Jessie SMITH. He was working at a saw mill at that time.
His family never heard from him again. His girls are getting up
in age and they would like to find out what happened to him. We
are sure he has died and they would like to know where he is buried.
I know that this is almost impossible, but I feel that somewhere
some one might be able to help me with this. His family would be
most grateful. We do not know if he stayed in Marshall or not.

Jim after her death. That sister did marry him in circa 1840 and
they had 2 daughters, called Liz (who married Will ONNMAN) and Sis
